CHARIMAN OF THE BOARD
Fred M. Mosly, B.A, J.D., L.L.M.
Pastor Fred Mosley has been an Assistant County Prosecutor, Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, a Trial Judge, and an Administrative Judge. He also served as a Special Assistant to the Ohio Attorney General. He is presently involved in business and ministerial works as an ordained minister, especially with regard to prisoner reformation and teaching. He assisted in the organization and development of two Ohio Charter Schools and was Instrumental in drafting all pertinent documents of incorporation, including 501(c)3 status and charter certification. Presently he is a Speaker, Author, Lecturer and Consultant, the Executive Producer and Host of Laws of Life Forum, and the Presiding Judge of Laws of Life Court. Pastor Mosely facilitates all activities comprising Justice Affiliates, Justice Associates and Justice Ministries. He conducts teaching seminars and has multiple publications and TV programs on the Spiritual Laws of Life series. Judge Mosely is a member of several Board of Directors, including: Federal Cure, the Federal Chapter of Citizens United for the Rehabilitation of Errants (CURE), Washington, D.C. and Texas CURE, Dallas Texas. Judge Mosely joined the Board of SEED Educational Initiative in July of 2015, and was elected Chairman that same month.
Edward P. Woods, B.A., Ed.C.
Edward Woods was a native New Yorker and has been residing in Cincinnati since 1986. After high school, Ed joined the U.S. Army as a Private and ultimately became a commissioned officer in the original Special Forces (Green Berets). After the service Ed earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Education, a New York State Secondary Teacher’s Certification and substitute taught at his old High School while pursuing an aviation career. Ed was a flight instructor and corporate pilot before becoming an FBI Agent for the next nearly thirty years. He worked many high-profile cases, spending half his career in New York City and the remainder in Cincinnati and received over two dozen letters of commendation and awards for his work. After retirement Ed returned to corporate flying and was the Assistant Chief Pilot for eight years and for the past seven years, Director of Safety and Security for a major jet charter operation. Mr. Woods joined the Board of SEED Educational Initiative in July of 2015.
Sally Shields B.A., M.Ed.
Sally Shields is an experienced educator with diversified professional skills in teaching, school administration, educational leadership, program/curriculum development, and mentoring. She received her B.A. in English from Indiana University and her Master’s in Education in Educational Leadership from Miami University. As the Associate Principal at Mason High School, a school of 2900 students at the time, grades 9-12, and later as Interim Principal, she helped build a positive learning environment in a time of significant growth and change. Teaching 8th graders at Finneytown Junior High School and seniors at Ross High School; substitute teaching in Williamstown, MA, and Essex Junction, VT; and serving in business as a trainer, customer service representative, writer and editor, also helped her serve effectively as a high school administrator and later as Director of Standards and Assessment at Hamilton County Educational Service Center where she helped deliver professional development to area schools. A wife, mother, and grandmother, she now serves as an Elder on her local church board and coaches and mentors adults. She teaches Bible studies classes in various settings and a faith-based curriculum to felons serving sentences in River City Correctional Center, as well as mentoring and coaching the residents during and after their incarceration. Because of her commitment to and relationship to Christ, she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to live out that relationship and to serve others. Mrs. Shields joined the Board of SEED Educational Initiative in July of 2015.
Rene Normand’s professional experience, spanning over 35 years, includes the management of all Human Resource functions within various industries and locations across the United States including retail, insurance, information technology, oil & gas, and manufacturing. Rene’s background ranges from startup corporations, established private and public companies to non-profit organizations. Rene is currently the Human Resources Manager for a Cincinnati based marketing and communication agency. Rene has served on the Cincinnati Fire Museum Executive Board, Teen Challenge Cincinnati Board, and is presently with the Transformation Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky Board. She has also appeared as a guest speaker at various Women’s Ministry Events in the Cincinnati and Dayton area. Rene resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and daughter. She began the homeschool journey with her daughter’s preschool education. Rene is the President and operating Director of SEED Educational Initiative, Inc., and a founding member.
